Aktar Islam’s two-star flagship is the best modern Indian restaurant in the country. There, we said it. Impossible not to love, dinner here starts at finishes in the lounge, whilst the middle courses are the dining room, prepared in front of you by chefs working in the expansive open kitchen. Have faith in the tasting menu, but keep an eye out for the Aloo Tuk course which sees Aktar pay tribute to the street food snack using potatoes in a multitude of ways to create harmonious perfection. The man is a master of spice.
