If ‘hidden gem’ weren’t such a criminally overused phrase, we’d say that Nice Spice was just that. Alas, hidden gem is used these days to describe everything from your nan’s favourite cafe to a back street Pizza Express. So instead, we’ll just tell you to go to Nice Spice, because a better chinese roast meat in Bristol you’ll be hard pressed to find. Be warned, there are no bells and whistles here – it’s plastic stools, laminated menus and disposable chopsticks. But you’ll leave with a full belly and a grin on your face. You’re in on the secret now. Only tell those that are worthy and help us keep it hidden a bit longer. Cheers.
