Barney Says
If anywhere in Birmingham was going to home a Peruvian restaurant from an ex-Michelin starred chef, it was Moseley. And guess what? The laid-back-a-licious qualities of Chakana are the perfect fit for the artsy suburb. The pace of life here is slower, possibly thanks to the super strong pisco sours, or more likely due to Robert Ortiz’s technicolour cookery.
Peru is best known for ceviche and so too is Robert Ortiz. Go for the tuna, spun through the brightest of spiced milk and flavoured with passionfruit. A feast for the eyes and the tum-tum.
