Have ‘the lamb’. Everyone does. The mandi hits table after table after table, which means impossibly tender cuts, flavoured with Yemeni hawaij spices and steamed until its juices perfume the mound of rice. That’s it: just a scattering of charred onions to finish and it arrives, and resistance is useless. You could quite happily drown in the soup that comes with it, too. Just order that lamb, indulge yourself and thank us later. And we bet you’ll fantasise about coming back with friends for a whole lamb to share.
