The sort of local Italian everyone needs. City Road’s I Giardini makes it all look easy. The specials board holds some gems- aragosta (lobster) cooked with brandy and cherry tomatoes, or ragú of wild boar or venison. Pizzas are impressive- the Forte with spicy sausage leaps out- with the base having that right balance of yield and chew. This is hearty stuff.
