The perfect village pub. Really. This is regional Welsh cookery at its heartiest and most skilful, with much of the menu foraged or grown themselves. This building has kept Aberthin watered continuously for over 300 years and now the small, daily changing, seasonal menu is the draw. This isn’t puckered-sphincter ‘fine dining’ but it is a fine way to dine. Menus change twice daily with the seasons, so whether you have a tasting menu or à la carte you’re assured of what’s best that day. Cardigan Bay crab, Welsh black beef, roast Torgelly Farm lamb, hake with mussel butter…and don’t leave without the soufflé of your dreams.
