You know you’re in the right place when the owner of a restaurant seems to know everyone that walks through the door. Whether it’s a sign of loyalty, community or pure coincidence – it means that people want to go back. A restaurant people want to go back to is usually a good restaurant. In Agape, you can enjoy West African food at its finest, all while watching African politics or football on the TV in the corner. It’s likely to be a memorable meal either way, but for a particularly indelible evening opt for the isi ewu; goat’s head stew. Not for the faint hearted but it’s an offal lover’s dream. If you go to Agape and you don’t like it, that’s fair enough. But we are duty-bound to tell you – it’s not them, it’s you.
