Barney Says
This is where Andrew Chongsathien plays with the flavours of his heritage. His ‘non traditional Thai street food’ is the stuff of local legend, winning such a huge following at street food events he opened on Whitchurch Road. The perennially popular sticky beef roti is a Cardiff classic- and rightly so- but there’s so much more here: mushroom laab and fried chicken, or their red curry and Khua Kling (a Southern Thai dry-style pork stir fry, heady with lemongrass, turmeric, galangal) rice bowls, both topped with a crispy, soft egg. This is ‘dig in’ food, sticky and messy in all the right ways. Typically busy, so we recommend booking ahead.
