DEZHOU-STYLE BRAISED CHICKEN
Barney Says
Google describes this little eatery as ‘straightforward’ and, we’ll be honest, it is hard to argue with that given that the name of the restaurant tells you what to order. The main dish is gently poached chicken in a heady stock, eaten with hand-pulled noodles in three types of heat.
I imagine they have other dishes on the menu but we’ve never got that far down. It’s cheap, the portions are huge, and they will probably look at you funny if you ask to take away the leftovers. We say probably because we’ve yet to leave anything remaining on the plate other than chicken bones.
