Tucked away in the little village of Llysworney is Hiraeth Kitchen. It’s Welsh for a deep longing, often for home: and if your home served food like this, yearning would be mandatory. Lewis and Andy’s menus are clever and heartily satisfying but never needlessly showy: it’s all about flavour above flounce. Try the tasting menus: look out for anything to do with slow-cooked meat, a real strength here (vegetarians and vegans can be catered for at 48h notice) at the sort of place you should know about.
