You’ll smell Rice & Things before you see it. The heady combination of jerk spices and barbecued meat erupting from the barrel out front will dare you to try and walk past it. You’d do well to follow your nose. It’s not big and it’s not fancy but it is widely regarded as the best place to eat Caribbean food in Bristol. Don’t tell your mates you’re going to Rice & Things though, they won’t know where you mean – locally this restaurant is known as Rice ‘n’ Tingz. For those of you with no self respect or taste, you’ll find Turtle Bay a five minute walk up the road. For everyone that wants real Caribbean food; Rice & Things.
