‘Have the tasting menus at Salkaara’ is some of the best advice you’ll get in Cardiff. (Yes, it’s plural- there are a few, including one after 9pm). Are these the city’s best value tasting menus, them? Probably, yes: they certainly deserve to be experienced, a full service experience at a bargain price. The menu leans heavily toward Southern India, so expect plates aromatic with curry leaf and coconut, with ample choice for vegetarians, but really- have the tasting menus. You don’t have to thank us later, but it would be nice if you did, wouldn’t it?
