Barney Says
Bristol is seemingly the goldilocks zone for the small but perfectly formed, independent, unpretentious and inventive Italian restaurant. Sonny Stores is no exception. On their website they describe it as a ‘neighbourhood spot’ and they’re exactly right – it’s a charming neighbourhood no-frills eatery with Harry met Sally style ‘I’ll have what she’s having’ flavours. It’s no wonder, given one half of the husband and wife team spent four years at The River Cafe in London. It’s hard to decide what we love most about Sonny Stores, but the fact they named it after their son is definitely up there. Boy is he going to be a proud son when he grows up.
