Barney Says
The Pony Chew Valley has undergone something of an evolution recently, from its previous iteration as The Pony and Trap to the produce-led restaurant-cum-cookery-school it is now, via a brief sojourn on North Street. Enjoy the a la carte menu in the garden room Wednesday to Friday or book for a special event such as the creatively named ‘venison evening’ or ‘shellfish night’ at the weekend. Most of the produce is grown within carrot-lobbing distance in the Pony garden, which you’ll be able to see in all its glory from the floor to ceiling windows looking out over the hills. Think traditional British country restaurant meets innovative modern dining and you’ll be halfway there.
